An intentional gathering of leaders committed to conversation and collaboration.
While technology has brought the world closer together, ideology has separated us. It is more important than ever before that leaders bridge dividing lines and build trusting relationships with those outside their normal spheres of work.
The Summit intends to create a space to build those relationships and inspire social change. We use a participatory planning model through which every participant shapes the content and direction of the event through interviews and online feedback. The success of the event is not based on big-name speakers but through the contributions of every person involved.
Join the live stream Wednesday, June 18 at 7 p.m. Eastern through Friday, June 20 at 8:30 p.m. View a schedule of events here.

During The Summit we’ll be committed to discussing big questions while also making practical applications to a variety of justice issues. Based in the historic commitments of Sojourners and through dozens of one-on-one interviews with a variety of leaders we’ll be including a focus on, but not limited to the intersections of:
marks of leadership in an inter-connected world
The Summit will be made up of eight plenary sessions held over meals designed to inspire and facilitate discussion. Each morning and afternoon salon style discussions will allow participants more intimate opportunities to develop ideas and opportunities for collaboration. Much of the afternoon will include “light programming” where participants can sign up for specific skill-building workshops (like media training and campaign development) or break into informal groups with other participants. Receptions and other evening activities will allow additional time for relationship building and informal meetings.
check back soon, we’ll be posting more details!
Space for The Summit is limited to 300 people and all participants must first be nominated before applying. In order to ensure diverse participation across a variety of sectors and other traditional dividing lines, there is a rolling admission process and awarding of scholarships. If you would like to nominate a leader please click here. Already been nominated? Shoot us an email and we'll send you a link to your application!
